Touch Biometrix talk to Verdict
Jan 09 2019. The question of who you can trust with your passwords is rapidly
approaching the answer: no one. And one answer is becoming undeniable: biometrics.
Touch Biometrix is developing existing technology towards fingerprint authentication
in a way that is cheaper and more secure. The old method of producing fingerprint-capable
hardware (the button on the front of your smartphone or IoT device) was to make
them from silicon wafers. Touch Biometrix has found a way to manufacture flexible
fingerprinting for any surface shape or size. Rather than using a single fingerprint touch
pattern, your phone or device can use several fingerprints and alternative patterns. The idea is

Biometric Technology set to Transform Social Mobility
Jan 06 2019. Advances in mobile technology have the capability to be a
"game-changer" for social mobility, according to CEO of disruptive fingerprint
tech compnay Touch Biometrix. CEO Mike Cowin said that developments in
biometrics present the greatest ever opportunity to give 3.5bn people worldwide
access to an internet-enabled smartphone and, with it, the ability to bank online.

Touch Biometrix talks to Tech Dragons
Jan 06 2019. Tech Dragons recently caught up with Mike Cowin, founder
and CEO of North Wales-based company Touch Biometrix. Founded in 2017,
the firm develops finger print technology and has been recognised
alongside the likes of Apple in the global market. Mike speaks more
about the technology, his start-up journey and how he’s on a mission

Nov 23 2018. Welsh fingerprint technology company Touch Biometrix
have made it onto the Top Tech 35 list for Wales. The list
generated by Wales Online and Business in Wales details innovative
tech companies going through new exciting technology-driven growth
phases to high-growth potential start-ups. Mike Cowin, CEO of Touch Biometrix,
which is based in St Asaph, said: “Considering the short period of time that we have
been in the market this is testament to the compelling value proposition of our

Touch Biometrix Appoint Chief Innovation Officer
Oct 8 2018. Touch Biometrix is delighted to announce it has appointed
a Chief Innovation Officer to support the development of its disruptive
fingerprint sensing platform. Rob Van Lier has joined the UK-based company,
which was recently recognised as one of the Top 20 global key players in the
fingerprint sensing market alongside the likes of Fingerprint Cards. CEO Mike

Touch Biometrix Secures Grant Funding
July 05 2018. Touch Biometrix, one of the world’s Top 20 fingerprint technology
companies, has been awarded Technology and Commercial Feasibility (TCF)
funding from the Welsh Governments £63.4m SMARTCymru programme. Backed by £27m
of EU funds, SMARTCymru is helping businesses in Wales develop new products, processes
and services by supporting increased investment in research, development and innovation. Economy Secretary Ken Skates said: “The Welsh Government, through Smart Cymru, is pleased
to be supporting an exciting and innovative business like Touch Biometrix as it develops its

Touch Biometrix Appoints CTO
June 15 2018. Touch Biometrix, a disruptive fingerprint technology company
headquartered in North Wales, has appointed a Chief Technology Officer.
Eric Derckx has joined the St Asaph based company, recognised as one
of the Top 20 global key players in a recent market report. Eric’s role will
be to manage the development of the company’s first fingerprint sensor product.
Mike Cowin, Chief Executive of Touch Biometrix, said: “Eric is a significant
appointment for us and will be an integral part of the Touch Biometrix team.
His reputation and vast experience in overseeing product development operations
will be invaluable to the company in quickly realising our first minimum viable product.”

Touch Biometrix to Make Passwords Obsolete
May 09 2018. Disruptive fingerprint technology company Touch Biometrix
has secured funding to progress its plans to eradicate the need for
computer and mobile phone passwords. CEO, Mike Cowin, said: “Our new
manufacturing model is set to disrupt the market in terms of performance

April 09 2018. Touch Biometrix, a UK company aiming to change the way we interact
with technology for user authentication are pleased to announce they
have received seed investment from Deepbridge Capital. Touch Biometrix

Touch Biometrix Attend Liverpool Angel Network
Mar 09 2018. Touch Biometrix, a UK company specialising in the development
of a new class of fingerprint sensors were pleased to support the opening
of the Liverpool Angel Network at Sensor City in Liverpool. CEO Mike Cowin

Nov 01 2017. Touch Biometrix Ltd, a new start-up company that intends to revolutionise
the world of fingerprint detection are pleased to announce the opening of their first
laboratory at the Optic Technology Centre in St. Asaph Business Park. CEO Mike Cowin
